“The phantasmagorias here included are, just like the illusions projected with magic lanterns, sound images coming from a past that no longer exists. They pretend to be real and tangible, and that is where their greatest charm and also their greatest danger lie, since they bear the risk of succumbing to a sea of reflections capable of confusing and paralysing the individual. To nullify this spell, a new musical spectre has been included, which collects and transforms those lights from another time to project them into the future.”
